Title Has been changed to “Simply Raw: Reversing Diabetes in 30 Days”
About the film:
Six McDonalds-munching Americans eat 100% vegan live foods for a month. Medical results are fantastic. Doctors and experts are interviewed including Gabriel Cousens, MD and David Wolfe.
Raw for 30-Days
Raw for 30-Days will document the journey of five Americans suffering from Adult Onset Type II Diabetes, who undergo a radical 30-day diet and lifestyle change in the hope of reversing or reducing their insulin dependence. The film will show the eating habits that led to the development of this disease and will posit an alternative approach to living and eating, one in which foods can heal and hold the potential to reverse Diabetes. We will recruit subjects who have been subsisting on a standard American junk food diet and who are now insulin dependent and Diabetic. Those selected will journey to the Tree of Life Rejuvenation Center in Arizona to undergo a 30-day health regimen consisting of 100% raw organic living foods that are purported to heal Diabetes. We will select a diverse group of subjects, representative of the different segments of the population most affected by this epidemic. Examples include a Native American from a Reservation, an African American from an urban Northeast city, a Mexican American living in the western US and a Caucasian person from the mid-west or a Southern city such as Chattanooga, TN.

Just a bit on RAW potatoes-
Discarded potatoes are used to lot feed animals. Pigs can’t digest RAW potatoes. Only cattle and sheep can.
If pigs can’t digest RAW potatoes, neither can humans.
Cattle have difficulty even with their multi stomachs containing the right bacteria and cud chewing.
Maybe RAWS chew their CUD ? Come on, own up ! tell us your secret !

High sugar and carbohydrate diets are a “no go” for diabetics.
Recent research has highlighted that persistent high blood sugar levels give high glycerinated hemoglobin levels. This is measured with a HbA1c blood test.
See reference below.

I think Dr. Bernsteins approach may be worth considering-
Achieving normal blood sugars for diabetics with the aid of a low carbohydrate diet and exercise is the focus of
Dr. Bernstein’s Revised and Updated 2007 Diabetes Solution, and the New Diabetes Diet, Dr. Bernstein’s Low-Carbohydrate Solution,M.D., F.A.C.E., F.A.C.N., C.W.S., FACCWS.

True but not just eating veg, but raw. Think if all the cooking fires in major cities were turned off, we could drastically change the effects of soot pollution.

and for people that are pre-type II diabetes
Comment by jgq85 — October 16, 2006 @ 8:55 am
while i agree that diet plays a large part, this diet is only for type II diabetes. type I is a completely different thing and is often genetic. perfectly healthy people can get type I.

In a junk food culture, we’re all vulnerable. Start today by making the first step toward better health–go raw. And anyone you know who’s struggling with type I or II Diabetis let them know about this.

Sorry but global warming is a made up lie to get us all into world Government. Learn the truth about the global warming hoax.
But going Veg is a good thing though.

They just told you that some of the participants were insulin-dependent and reversed their illness and stopped their drug dependency. Try it!
Comment by allykat44 — October 24, 2006 @ 11:53 pm
80% of global warming can be solved by going Veg also.

If you are going to eat beef/meat at least make sure it is controlled grass fed beef and sear only

Natural carnivores have acidic blood and short colons. Human beings have alkaline blood and long colons, like other plant eaters. Eating cooked and processed foods and animal products(dead food) raises our acidity unnaturally which in turn causes
degeneration and disease. This is true for al1 humans regardless of blood type.

Actually ‘the’ raw food diet does NOT include raw meat… it’s strictly vegan, adding meat is a deviation of the true raw food diet… a modification for those who cannot seem to rid themselves of the need to consume meat infused with the energy of death and pain within it(organic or not). But, if it feels vibrationally better to you to consume it by all means do so..

Thank youu very much for your comment, it is very true I have type one diabetes and I didnt have any bad habits to cause it. Your very true xxx

i hate when there are stories on the news about “diabetes”. type one diabetes and type two diabetes ARE TWO DIFFERENT ILLNESSES. type one is autoimmune, meaning nothing we ate and nothing we did caused it. i know this because i have type one diabetes. type two is highly influenced by your diet and exercise regimens- i know this because my uncle had type two. PLEASE take note that not everyone with diabetes got that way with bad habits.

I had a dream today: I ate without injecting myself insulin.
I started to cry when I realized it was a dream.

I agree — I went on a raw food diet to overcome my diabetes, DVT, and high cholesterol. But, I modified my raw food program to create a more flexible nuritional program for most diabetics (Death to Diabetes).
